I was having the same problem on my cukes and patty pan squash. I used a solution of baking soda, a drop of dish washing soap and a splash of skim milk and reapplied after every rain, its cleared it up. Don't forget the undersides too.

Hi Peggy, I called Gilmour and talked to them about it. I haven't been able to find anything alarming regarding nylon. I also let the hose run on the lawn for a good hour to flush before I placed it in the veggie garden. Thank you kindly for the comment!

How did you find out that the Gilmour flat soaker hose is 100% lead free? I've been researching to find a safe soaker hose for our organic garden and we also just purchased this hose, but I am not finding any literature on the material it's made of. Every other hose we've found to purchase actually says that it contains lead, so we bought this one hoping that "no news is good news". Also, the horseshoe-shaped raised bed you have here is lovely! Such great access to your crops!
Thanks you!

Stacy, It was nice talking with you last eve at the worksite event. Thank you for your insight and ideas. You mentioned whether I was interested in working one on one with people or wanting knowledge about fitness programming in general. I wondered what specific training you may recommend for each area?

Your website is amazing!! When you said you love gardening, I would have never thought it was such a passion for you. Your physical training for gardening is something I would have never thought about. It's refreshing to see fitness for a specific activity.

Good point, Roy. I've used the scarecrow sprinkler (http://www.safepetproducts.com/scarecrow-motion-sprinkler.html) before to protect my ornamental gardens, that product is amazing! By the way, just love Plangarden...keep up the good work! :)

Your real garden looks amazing. I could see you putting some motion-detector sprinklers to the sides of the garden as guardians to keep the squirrels and rabbits away during your travels.

Good luck and happy harvesting this summer.
